Export Nation: How Metropolitan Areas can Lead National Export Growth

On July 26, the Brookings Institution released a new report on the impact metropolitan areas can have on the President’s National Export Initiative.

According to the report:

…metropolitan areas produce 84 percent of the nation’s exports, making them the points of leverage for scaling up trade with the wider world. The 100 largest metropolitan areas alone account for over 64 percent of the nation’s exports, including 75 percent of its service exports.

World Steel Production Rises 18% in June
