A

Sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development
Agency
Co-Sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Economic Development
SHOWCASE YOUR PRODUCTS & SERVICES TO LATIN
AMERICAN PORT OFFICIALS
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (TDA) will hold an all-day
business briefing at the WTC on Monday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. on maritime port projects currently under development in
Latin America in Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador. Projects include:
- Port Development and Expansion
- Inter-modal Operations
- Vessel Traffic Management and Navigation Systems
- Dredging Operations
- Oil Spill and Pollution Control & Clean-up
- Port Handling Equipment for Containers, Grain, Fertilizers
The Governments of Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador have understood
the need to invest in maritime port infrastructure to reduce
logistics costs and to increase their nations’ participation in
world trade. Modernization of ports will absorb the impact of future
foreign trade increases and will create competition in port
operations through increased efficiency. This in turn will increase
the demand for port equipment and services which the U.S. can
provide.

During the business briefing companies will have the opportunity
to showcase their products and services in one-on-one meetings with
15 Latin American port authority officials directly responsible for
