About the World Trade Center Certification

The World Trade Center of New Orleans received a certification award after completing and passing the certification process conducted by the World Trade Centers Association, the non-profit organization that links the over 300 World Trade Centers worldwide and sets the uniform procedures and standards for their operations.

In 1994, the Committee on WTC Standards, Quality and Reciprocity, with the assistance of Sirota Consulting, set out to establish service standards for each of the major services and programs that a World Trade Center offers to its members, tenants, local businesses, and daily visitors. The objective of developing these standards is to assure that all Centers provide consistent, reliable service to businesses and individuals around the world as well as assuring a quality delivery mechanism for the universal services the WTCA provides. This not only strengthens the organization as a whole, but provides immediate benefits to each individual World Trade Center.

Reciprocity is a core attribute of the WTCA and a key driver of membership and satisfaction. What is most appealing to the majority of local members of World Trade Centers is that they not only belong to their own World Trade Center but to all World Trade Centers around the globe. The use of minimum service standards for each of the core services assures that when members visit another World Trade Center offering a specific service, they know what to expect both in terms of attributes and quality. In addition, in keeping with the spirit of reciprocity, costs/charges for all services should be identical for local WTC members and other WTC users.
